CapMan's Kämp buys Klaus K
CapMan-backed Kämp Group has acquired lifestyle hotel Klaus K in Helsinki.
Rake Oy, the current owner of the Klaus K hotel, enters the Kämp shareholding via the transaction.
CapMan acquired Finnish hotel chain Kämp in January 2014. The firm's former owner, Berling Capital, remained on board as a minority stakeholder.
Kämp expects to report revenues totalling €55m in 2014.
CapMan was attracted to the company as a result of increasing tourism in Finland. The number of tourists arriving from Russia and Asia has been boosted by connecting flights to Asia from Helsinki and a fast train to St Petersburg.
Company
Founded 10 years ago, Klaus K is a boutique design hotel in Helsinki. Following the transaction, the company will introduce 30 large luxury rooms under the Sky Loft brand this summer.
People
Capman senior partner Ari Tolppanen led the original acquisition of Kämp.
