
Wellington offloads Distimo to App Annie
Wellington Partners has sold Netherlands-based app analytics business Distimo to App Annie.
Following the deal, Distimo's team will work with App Annie to integrate and merge Distimo's features into the App Annie platform. Wellington will retain a stake in the company following the transaction. The venture firm will join App Annie's current investors Greycroft, IDG Capital Partners and Sequoia Capital.
Previous investment
Wellington was the sole backer in Distimo's $1m seed investment round at the start of this year, through its Wellington V Digital fund.
Company
Founded in 2009, Distimo is headquartered in Utrecht with offices in San Francisco, New York, London, Seoul and Tokyo. The company, which employs 53 staff, develops an app analytics platform, which allows app developers to track daily performance. Distimo claims to command a 40% share of the global app analytics market, with more than 300,000 app developers using its service.
