Flexenclosures (Sweden) - Dec 2007

Flexenclosures, which delivers environmentally-friendly telecom solutions, has attracted SKr 12m expansion capital. Industrifonden invested SKr 8m and existing owners Pegroco Invest and management provided the remaining SKr 4m. The investment will be used to develop the business’ technology and further strengthen its organisation. Industrifonden was attracted to the investment due to the business product.

Company

Flexenclosure offers turn-key shelter solutions for the telecom industry. The shelters are designed for fast roll-out in GSM, 3G and broadband networks. The business’ solutions cover everything from indoor cabinets and roof-tops to greenfield sites and switching stations. Its shelters use energy from wind and solar panels to get power to operate and hence offer a ‘green’ option. The company is a spin-off from Pharmadule Emtunga, and has been operating as a separate unit since 2006. It employs 30 people with headquarters in Lidköping. Expected revenues for 2007 are SKr 70m.

Industrifonden investment manager Tore Tolke will join the board of directors. Stefan Jern is the CEO of Flexenclosure.
