
FSN Capital sells Norman Shark
FSN Capital has divested Norman Shark, the malware analysis solutions division of its portfolio company Norman, to Blue Coat Systems.
FSN is invested in Norman via its FSN III vehicle. During FSN Capital's holding period, Norman Shark has invested in R&D and expanded its US sales operations.
Blue Coat, a business assurance technology company, was looking for cyber-security products to complement its existing offering, and was attracted to Norman Shark due to its IP and R&D team.
In January this year, Norman's wholly-owned subsidiary Norman Safeground was also spun out.

Established in 1984 and based in Lysaker, Norman is a Norwegian IT security company. Its Norman Shark subsidiary provides malware analysis solutions.
