Northzone leads $2.8m round for Fuse
Scandinavian VC Northzone has led a $2.8m funding round for Norwegian mobile app development platform Fuse.
The round brings the total amount of funding raised by Outracks Technologies – the company that developes Fuse – to $7m, having previously received investments from Alliance Venture and Northzone as well as private investors.
With the new capital, Outracks will fund Fuse's move from closed alpha testing of its Android and iOS app development platforms to beta testing.
Previous funding
Outracks received $3.5m from Alliance Venture and Northzone in July 2014, having previously raised a total of NOK 11m in two rounds from Springfondet, Ojada and angel investor Trond Arne Aas.
Company
Based in Oslo and with an office in Palo Alto, California, Outracks is a software company that offers cross-platform development tools.
Rather than having separate development teams for Android and iOS, Outracks' Fuse platform allows companies to develop separate apps for each operating system on a single platform.
Founded in 2011, Outracks expects to launch Fuse into beta testing in the first quarter of 2015.
People
Tellef Thorleifsson is a general partner at Northzone. Anders Lassen is the CEO of Fuse.
