
Sentica acquires Silta
Sentica Partners has taken a majority stake in payroll consultancy Silta.
The management team will remain in its current positions and retain a minority shareholding in the company. Sentica acquired its stake from Logica Suomi, Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company and Sampo.
Sentica investment director Christer Niemi described Silta as a well-managed company with a strong market position. He sees development and growth potential in Silta as an independent company, owing to an ongoing trend in payroll outsourcing.
Sentica plans to expand the company through organic growth and add-on acquisitions over the next five years.

Silta, founded in 2001, provides payroll management and related consulting services. Based in Helsinki, the company employs 300 staff and generates €26.4m in net sales.
People
Investment director Christer Niemi led the deal for Sentica and will become chairman of Silta's board. Kari Partanen is managing director of Silta.
