
Vaaka picks up Sataservice
Finnish private equity firm Vaaka Partners has acquired industrial maintenance survey business Sataservice.
Following the deal, Vaaka will support Sataservice's development in Finland and expansion across the Nordic countries. According to Vaaka partner Reijo Grönholm, the investment strategy will focus on organic growth but will consider add-on acquisitions if relevant.
The investment was made via Vaaka's recently closed €150m fund II.
Sataservice's founders Tuomas Kaitila and Sami Yski have retained a significant stake in the company following the transaction and will continue to work with the company.
This was a proprietary deal for Vaaka, which contacted the company's management directly.
Debt
There is a debt element to the deal, though the amount and provider remains undisclosed.

Established in 2003 and based in Rauma, south-west Finland, Sataservice provides maintenance services to companies operating in the food and technology industries in Finland.
The company generated turnover of €29m in 2013. Sataservice employs 200 people.
