Erhvervsinvest buys Logopaint
Danish SME-focused investor Erhvervsinvest has bought a stake of around 65% in Logopaint, a mat manufacturer based in Denmark.
The GP's majority stake will leave CEO Kurt Henning and chief operating officer Christian Søndergaard with a combined 35% stake in the company.
Logopaint's management had approached Erhvervsinvest when the company's British backers requested to back out of their investment in 2014, while keeping Logopaint in Danish hands.
The company will look to expand its business into the US and grow both organically and through acquisitions.
Company
Founded in 1998, Logopaint is the manufacturer of 3D CamCarpets, a type of mat or carpet that lies flat on the ground but appears to be three-dimensional when viewed from a specific angle.
The mats are mainly used for sporting events, such as football matches, where they can be seen behind the goal lines and appear as 3D lettering when broadcast.
Based in Vejle, the company's EBITDA stood at DKK 9.2m in 2013/14. It employs 20 people in Denmark and one member of staff in the UK.
People
Thomas Marstrand is managing partner at Erhvervsinvest, while CEO Kurt Henning and chief operating officer Christian Søndergaard are minority owners of Logopaint.
