Apptus (Sweden) - Nov 2007

InnovationsKapital has invested in Apptus, a Swedish search and database technology company. The investment will be used to scale up operations and take aggressive measures to become an international player in search technology, as well as in the continuing development of the product range. InnovationsKapital, which has been in negotiations with Apptus for a number of months, was attracted to the deal by the company’s unique technological offering, as well as its impressive Nordic client base.

Company

Lund-based Apptus develops specialised data management products and services for a range of organisations. It helps customers manage, search, share and distribute their data within traffic and transaction-intensive information systems. Apptus was founded in 2000, currently generates a turnover of SKr 35m and is cash-positive in the Nordic region, where it serves top-tier customers such as Eniro, CDON.COM and Hitta.

People

Martin Falkevall, investment director of InnovationsKapital, led the transaction and will join the Apptus board. Gertrund Elisabeth Bohlin is the chairwoman of the company.
