
Ratos buys Speed Group in SEK 450m deal
Listed GP Ratos has acquired 70% of Swedish logistics services provider Speed Group in a deal worth SEK 450m.
Based on Speed Group's net debt when the transaction is completed, Ratos will provide equity of approximately SEK 300m, implying an EV of SEK 450m for 100% of the company.
Speed Group founders Jarl Ternander and Daniel Johansson and the company's current management will retain a combined stake in the company of 30%, and remain involved in operations post-acquisition.
The buyout is Ratos's first since acquiring a 67% stake in Finnish LED optics business Ledil for €50m in November 2014.

Speed Group is a provider of logistics services such as staffing and full-scale warehouse management, among others.
Based in Borås in South-West Sweden, the group had a turnover of SEK 412m and EBITA of SEK 54m in 2014. Over the past half-decade it has shown organic revenue growth of around 30% a year.
Speed Group was founded in 2004 and employs a workforce of 900.
