Inlandsinnovation backs JPS Teknik
Swedish government-backed investor Inlandsinnovation has taken a minority stake in sawing unit manufacturer JPS Teknik through a private placement of shares.
The investment will back rapid expansion expected by JPS Teknik, in an effort to win a majority market share with its flagship R5500 sawing product.
Inlandsinnovation backs small and medium-sized companies based in the north of Sweden, with an investment capacity of SEK 2bn.
Company
Based in Färila, Sweden, JPS Teknik makes sawing units for harvesters, grapple saws and large firewood cutters, mainly in the forestry industry.
JPS had around SEK 6m in revenues and SEK 73,000 in net profits during the 2013 financial year, according to publicly available information.
The company was founded in 1999 and employs nine people.
