Vækstfonden invests in Shark Solutions
Vækstfonden has invested DKK 7.5m in Danish chemical recycling company Shark Solutions.
The investment was made from its VF Venture fund. German trade player Reclay Holding has invested the remaining three quarters of the DKK 30m financing round.
Shark Solutions CEO Jens Holmegaard commented that the investment will be used to consolidate Danish operations at a new address and expand production in Denmark, the US, and Europe.
Company
Shark Solutions specialises in the recycling of car windshields. Since its inception in 2005, it has developed technology for separating the protective laminate from windshields. The laminate can then be used as a raw material in industrial processes. Headquartered in Svinninge, Denmark, and with production in Svebølle and Belgium, the company employs around 20 staff.
People
Partner Bjarne Henning Jensen managed the investment on behalf of VF Venture. Jens Holmergaard is CEO of Shark Solutions.
