Produal, a portfolio company of Finnish GP Vaaka Partners, has acquired Zone Controls, a Swedish producer of electronic room control systems.
Finland-based Produal develops and manufactures building automation controls, such as electronic thermostats, power controllers and thermal actuators.
The bolt-on of Zone Controls will expand its offering by adding indoor climate control systems, as well as improving Produal's market position in Sweden. The deal will also strengthen the Finnish company's strategy of internationalisation.
Vaaka took majority ownership of Produal in October 2012 through a secondary buyout from Midinvest, which had bought the company in 2008.
