
Intel leads €20m round in FlatFrog
Intel Capital has led a €20m funding round in Swedish touch screen pioneer FlatFrog Laboratories backed by existing investors Invus and Sunstone Capital.
The funds will help the company expand its team and commercialise its multi-touch technologies for the consumer electronics market.
The company was previously backed by Invus, Sunstone Capital and strategic investor Promethen in a €12.5m deal in 2010, in which the investors took a minor stake.

Lund-based FlatFrog was founded in 2007 by Ola Wassvik and Christer Fåhraeus. It develops technology for multi-touch systems, which are used in multi-touch tabletops, digital signage, whiteboards, point-of-sale, gaming and medical displays, and consumer electronics such as notebook and netbook computers, monitors and input pads.
The first selling product based on FlatFrog's technology is the 32" FlatFrog Multitouch 3200, a slim high-performance 32" multi-touch screen.
