Verdane sells Caretech to Doro for SEK 240m
Verdane Capital has sold Caretech, a digital care technology and services provider, to Swedish phone manufacturer Doro for SEK 240m, making a 3.5x return on its investment.
The sale comes eight years after direct secondaries player Verdane acquired the company via Verdane Capital V.
Doro's purchase is in line with its increasing focus on telecoms assistance for the elderly in the Nordic region.
The sale is expected to complete in January.

Caretech provides products and services to help elderly people live in their homes independently. The business offers remote care products such as alarms and surveillance.
Founded in 1990, the Kalix-based company expects to generate revenues of around SEK 150m in 2014.
