Verdane Capital has acquired four unlisted companies from Brainhart Capital for an undisclosed value. The portfolio consists of two major holdings in Wireless Maingate and Åkerströms RRC and minority holdings in two US-based companies, Meru Networks and Aeris Communications.

Åkerströms RRC develops, produces and markets industrial radio solutions for cranes, mobile units, doors and locomotives. The business has a strong position in the Nordic region, especially in Sweden, and the new owner is looking to expand it internationally. Potential M&A deals will also be considered to secure growth. Anders Åkerström founded Åkerströms in 1918. It has 60 employees and recorded turnover of SEK 90m last year. The company is based in Björbo.
