Viking Venture acquires EcoOnline
Norwayтs Viking Venture has acquired a 64% stake in EcoOnline, a specialist IT provider.
The fresh capital will be used to expand the company's operations, mainly in the Nordic market.
Viking's investment marks the first European deal for the VC in Q4 and follows its strategy of investing within the electronics, software and oil & gas technology sectors.

EcoOnline is an IT company that provides software for the management and documentation of chemicals, aimed at producers, resellers and distributors of chemicals, as well as companies that handle chemicals in the workplace.
Based in Tønsberg, southern Norway, the business's clients include Ramirent and Valvoline, as well as small and mid-sized companies.
The company was founded in 2000 and achieved NOK 61m in revenues last year, with 65 employees across offices in Tønsberg, Oslo, Göteborg and Helsinki.

Viking managing partner Erik Hagen worked alongside partner Jostein Vik on the deal. Øyvind Thorsen is the CEO of EcoOnline.
