Inventure and Almi invest €500,000 in Glimr
Finnish VC Inventure has invested тЌ500,000 in Swedish ad-targeting startup Glimr, alongside Swedish government-backed fund Almi Invest.
The fresh capital will mainly be used to hire new programmers and developers to improve the company's products.
Inventure and Almi's investment comes off the back of Glimr winning the Scale Up competition at the Digital Shoreditch Festival in London, which saw the company collect $50,000 in prize money from Unilever.
Company
Glimr develops technology that uses iBeacon transmitters to collect data from offline mobile devices to use in targeted marketing.
The company was founded in 2014 and has offices in Stockholm and London.
