Advent International opens Spanish office

Advent International has announced the opening of an advisory office in Madrid, led by Jaime Carvajal Urquijo, Juan Díaz-Laviada and Luis Camilleri. Carvajal will become chairman of the new office and Laviada and Camilleri will become partners of Advent International, with Laviada taking the role of managing partner in Spain. Advent’s Spanish investments to date include JazzTel, Alcala Farma and Alta Gestión. The new team will focus on later-stage, majority position investments and buyouts, but will also look at certain minority expansion capital deals, in which the objectives of all shareholders are aligned.
