CVC Capital Partners has promoted seven managing directors to partners in preparation for the firm’s latest fundraising campaign. The new appointments take the total number of directors at the firm to 14. The seven are Nick Archer, Marc Boughton, Jonathan Feuer, Philippe Gleize, Luigi Lanari and Robert Lucas. Nick Archer joined CVC in 1995, having previously worked as group treasurer for St James’s Place Capital. Marc Boughton formerly worked at Electra Partners, having qualified as an accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Philippe Gleize was the managing director of the French office and joined CVC in 1991. He previously worked for Citibank, Credit Lyonnais and American Express Bank. Mark Grizzelle joined the firm in 1990, having worked for Citibank, Memorex International and Schlumberger, whilst Luigi Lanari was previously managing director at the firm’s Italian office. Prior to joining CVC in 1993, Lanari worked for Citibank, Banca Nazionale del Lavoro and the External Affairs Department of the EEC. Rob Lucas worked at GEC and 3i, joining CVC in 1996. The new appointments bring the number of partners at the firm to 14, and will boost CVC’s plans to begin gearing up for its next round of fundraising.
