Xesgalicia to manage regional aquiculture fund
The Galicia-based venture capital firm Xesgalicia is to manage Aquagal, the fund sponsored by the Xunta de Galicia. The new fund is part of the regional government’s initiative to back business projects in the sectors of aquiculture, as a way to palliate the disastrous impact of the Prestige oil disaster on the region. Aquagal FCR, which has been authorised by the regulatory body CNMV (Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores), will invest principally in businesses dedicated to production, research and development of all activities within to aquiculture and the marketing of related products.
