Aksìa promotes Cottino to chair

Italian private equity house Aksìa Group has promoted Emanuele Cottino to chair.
Cottino joined Aksìa in 2013 as a member of the advisory board. Prior to the role, he worked as managing director at Ersel Investimenti, being promoted in 2012 to vice-chair at Fidersel, part of Ersel Group. He also held seats on several companies' management boards, as well acting as an adviser at Italian private equity firm F2i and holding company Tamburi Investment Partners.
During his career, Cottino focused on legal advisory activity with regards to investment banking, corporate finance, M&A and private equity.
Currently, Aksìa manages two vehicles, Aksìa Calital III and Aksìa Capital IV. The Aksìa Capital III fund recently sold Italian automated packaging machines maker Emmeci, alongside compatriot GP Quadrivio. The successor vehicle Aksìa Capital IV counts two portfolio companies: outsourcing business Visiant-Contacta and pharma packaging producer Lameplast.
