
Altamar appoints Martínez as managing director
Spanish private equity house Altamar Capital Partners has hired Mónica Martínez as managing director in its global client solutions team.
In her new role, Martínez will boost the firm's investment activity across the Latin American as well as the European markets.
Martínez joins Altamar from JP Morgan Asset Management's London-based team, in which she has been active since 2000. Her career at JP Morgan began in the firm's dedicated central banks and sovereign funds department and subsequently at the institutional asset management branch. Prior to that, she worked in the investment team of UK investment company Ivy Asset Management, as well as at the Madrid office of Spanish lender BBVA.
