Investindustrial hires former Clessidra CEO Bottnielli
Italian buyout house Investindustrial has added two senior principals to its teams in Lugano and London: Maurizio Bottinelli and Roberto Ardagna.
Former Clessidra CEO Bottinelli will join the firm's Lugano-based team, while Ardagna will work in the London office.
Prior to joining Investindustrial, Bottinelli worked at Italian private equity house Clessidra for 10 years. Initially hired as a partner in 2007, he was subsequently promoted to head of the investment team and then CEO in 2016. Bottinelli left Clessidra following the acquisition of the firm by Italmobiliare in May 2016.
Bottinelli started his career in the private equity industry in 2000, as he joined Apax Partners as a principal, being promoted to partner in 2005. Prior to that, he worked at consultancy firms Procter & Gamble as a project manager between 1992-1994 and Monitor Group as a manager until 2000.
Ardagna joined Investindustrial in 2009 from the Carlyle Group, where he worked as a senior associate for four years.
