Idea Capital Funds appoints Perco as new CEO
Italian buyout house Idea Capital Funds has promoted Gianandrea Perco to CEO and Pier Luigi Rossi to strategy and development director.
Idea Capital's prior CEO, Paolo Ceretti, will remain CEO of DeA Capital, parent company of Idea Capital, while Perco will take his role at the head of the GP. Ceretti became CEO of Idea Capital following the departure of Mario Barozzi in April 2016. However, the GP has been looking for an individual to cover the position on a full-time basis since then, according to a source close to the GP.
Perco joined DeA Capital in 2015 as strategy and development director, having previously worked at Unicredit as head of the corporate finance advisory team. Prior to that, Perco was also a partner at PwC with a focus on M&A transactions.
Concurrently to Perco's promotion, Pier Luigi Rossi will become new strategy and development director at DeA Capital. Prior to joining the firm, Rossi worked as a partner at Sator Group, were he headed the private-equity-focused team. Prior to that, Rossi worked at Capitalia, where he led several M&A transactions, including the firm's merger with Unicredit.
