Alantra promotes Cowap and Robertson to directors
Alantra has promoted Tom Cowap and Ali Robertson, members of its UK advisory business formerly known as Catalyst Corporate Finance, to directors.
Cowap joined Catalyst in 2013 and since then has been working within the healthcare team, which focuses on the pharma and life sciences sectors. He advised on numerous deals, including the acquisition of Concept Life Sciences, the sales of CP Electronics and Interfloor, and various private equity transactions such as Make it Cheaper and XLN Business Services.
Robertson joined Catalyst's industrials team in 2013, focusing on deals in the chemicals and coatings industry, and more recently on the specialty materials and marine sectors. He worked on the sales of Expert Tooling, Raphael Healthcare, ATG and Morrells, and the buyout of Westleigh Homes.
Catalyst rebranded as Alantra after merging with the firm in October 2017 to create a global advisory business operating in the mid-market.
In the last six months, Alantra's advisory teams have completed 70 deals for a total value of more than £4.5bn, according to the firm.
