Capital Dynamics acquires Advanced Capital

Capital Dynamics, a Switzerland-based global asset manager, has fully acquired Italian fund-of-funds manager Advanced Capital.

Advanced Capital, founded in 2004, currently manages generalist private equity as well as real estate and energy funds-of-funds.

According to a statement, Capital Dynamics sees attractive prospects in Italy and believes that there is a compelling opportunity to offer its products and strategies to a wider pool of investors in the Italian market.

Robert Berlé, CEO of Advanced Capital, said the merger represents a significant opportunity to bring together the strengths of the two firms to market their existing products, and offer regional and global solutions.

The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2018.

Advanced Capital currently manages a variety of funds, including four private equity funds-of-funds – AC I through AC IV – and two specialised niche funds, AC Private Equity Real Estate International Fund and AC Energy Fund.
