Neuberger Berman hires Salato as head of southern Europe
Neuberger Berman has appointed Alberto Salato to the newly created role of head of southern Europe.
Salato will be based in Milan and will oversee client coverage across Iberia and Italy, reporting to Dik van Lomwel, head of EMEA and Latin America.
Prior to joining Neuberger Berman, Salato worked for Blackrock Investment Management where he was managing director and head of institutional for the Italian business for over a decade. Previously, he worked for Franklin Templeton Investments, after starting his career with JP Morgan Private Banking in Milan.
Neuberger Berman opened an office in Milan in 2011 and established a private equity team – NB Renaissance Partners – in 2015 to build a strong local presence in southern Europe.
