MJ Hudson opens new office in Milan
Asset management consultancy MJ Hudson has opened an office in Milan to direct the firm's new legal operations in Italy, branded MJ Hudson Alma.
The office will focus on fund formation and financial regulatory mandates. Its team comprises two founding partners, Alessandro Corno and Marco Zechini, plus associate lawyers and support staff.
Corno is a former partner at the Milan offices of both DLA Piper and Jones Day. Most recently, he established Gatti Pavesi Bianchi's financial regulation practice group. Zechini will join the business in March from the Rome-based practice of US law firm Orrick.
Both Corno and Zechini are specialised in alternative investment funds, financial regulation and fintech. Their combined blue-chip client base includes Amex, Axa and Fondo Italiano d'Investimento.
This launch reinforces MJ Hudson's continental European presence and follows the recent opening of new offices in Luxembourg and Zurich.
