Italian manager sets up alternative investments platform
Azimut, an Italy-based asset manager, has established a platform that provides private investors with access to alternative assets, through the launch of private equity, venture capital, and private debt funds.
The alternative investments platform, which aims to invest €10bn in the Italian real economy over the next five years, is set up via the Azimut Libera Impresa subsidiary.
The Azimut Libera Impresa platform consists of eight funds, some of which have already launched.
Demos 1 is one of the private equity funds on the platform, and will invest €350m in Italian small and medium-sized enterprises. The minimum investment size to commit to the fund is £5,000.
