Permira appoints Pascalizi as co-head in Italy
Private equity firm Permira has appointed Francesco Pascalizi as co-head of Permira in Italy.
In his new role, Pascalizi will lead the firm's Milan office alongside co-head Fabrizio Carretti.
Pascalizi joined Permira in 2007 and became a member of the industrial tech and services team. He worked on numerous deals, including La Piadineria, Arcaplanet, eDreams, OdigeO and Marazzi Group.
Prior to joining Permira, Pascalizi worked for the private equity division of Bain Capital and was previously a member of the M&A team of UBS in Milan and in London.
Permira is a private equity specialist with €44bn in assets under management. The firm acquires majority and minority stakes in companies operating across the technology, consumer, financial services, industrial and healthcare sectors. It employs 250 staff in its 14 offices located across North America, Europe and Asia.
Permira has recently held a final closing for its latest buyout fund, Permira VII, hitting its €11bn hard-cap. The vehicle deploys equity tickets of €250m-1bn in businesses with enterprise values in the €500m-3bn range. It invests in companies primarily based in Europe, but also targets US- and Asia-headquartered businesses, helping them build a presence in the European marketplace.
