Nazca Capital appoints two new partners
Spanish GP Nazca Capital has appointed Ramón Garnica and Emilio Manchón as partners.
Garnica joined Nazca in 2010 and currently manages the strategy of Nazca Fund V, focusing on origination and execution of investment opportunities, and management and expansion of portfolio companies. He has more than 10 years of experience in the private equity sector and worked on several deals, including Fritta, Grupo OM and Hedonai.
Manchón joined Nazca in 2011 to focus on the investment strategy and portfolio management of Nazca Fund IV. He worked on numerous deals, such as Gestair, Agromillora or El Granero Integral.
Nazca also appointed Olga San Jacinto as a member of the firm's industrial advisory board, which is composed of eight executives with different business backgrounds and expertise in a wide range of sectors.
Prior to joining Nazca, she worked at Google as business strategy manager for Google Americas, monetisation manager at Google Maps and a manager of the firm's European division. She currently serves as an independent director and venture capital adviser in various companies, and manages her own seed capital fund.
Nazca held a €150m final close for its lower-mid-market-dedicated fifth fund in June 2019. The vehicle targets majority and significant minority stakes in small Iberian companies, and deploys equity tickets of €7-20m. It invests in businesses with high-growth potential to foster their international expansion and consolidation via a buy-and-build strategy.
The new vehicle complements Nazca's €275m fourth fund's investment strategy, which is dedicated to larger companies with revenues of up to €200m.
