Aurelius opens Milan office, hires Denza
Aurelius has announced the opening of a new office in Milan, appointing Ludovico Denza as managing director of Aurelius Italy.
Denza is to head the office and joins from Alvarez & Marsal, where he was part of the firm's performance-improvement practice. He has prior experience in Goldman Sachs' banking division in London.
The GP said in a statement that the office opening is part of Aurelius's intention to increase its investment activities in Italy, as well as a step in its pan-European growth strategy.
Aurelius now has seven European offices, according to a statement, including a presence in Munich and London. The GP first expanded its presence to southern Europe via the opening of its Madrid office in 2014.
The GP held a final close for its European Opportunities IV fund in April 2021, raising EUR 360m from institutional investors to complement its continuing investments from its balance sheet.
