Ambienta makes six senior hires
Sustainability-focused investor Ambienta has announced six senior hires across areas including sustainability and strategy, finance and HR.
Michela D'Isita has joined the firm as head of HR, having previously held the position of people business partner with AlixPartners.
Virginia Fortunato has been hired as head of administration, joining the firm from her role as finance manager in Fondo Strategico Italiano. Fortunato has prior experience with consultancies including PwC.
Fabia Bernacchi has been appointed as head of marketing and communications. She joins Ambienta with prior experience at McKinsey & Company, Marsh McLennan, FinecoBank and BonelliErede.
Daniela Popa has joined as ESG manager. In her new role, she will focus on Ambienta's ESG in Action Programme, which aims to integrate ESG into Ambienta's daily operations and its interactions with industry stakeholders, providing a risk management and value creation framework.
In addition, Alessio Vian and Fabrizio Sebastiani have joined as finance associates. Vian joins from the investment banking division of Intermonte SIM and was previously an associate at Assietta Private Equity. Sebastiani previously worked in the finance and control team of DeA Capital Real Estate, prior to which he worked at Deloitte.
Ambienta is currently deploying equity via Ambienta III, which held a final close in May 2018 on its hard-cap of EUR 635m. The GP generally invests in Italy and Germany, making investments in line with long-term environmental and sustainability trends across sectors including industrials and alternative energy. The vehicle deploys equity tickets of EUR 30m-100m, according to Unquote Data.
In addition to its private equity funds, the GP also manages a public-markets-focused strategy, Ambienta X.
