Double exit for BS Private Equity
BS Private Equity (BSPE) together with IPEF III and MPS Venture has sold its controlling stake in Klopman in a EUR74m deal, generating a c3x money multiple for the seller. The buyer is MW Unitexx S.A., a wholly owned subsidiary of MW Corp, and a sister company of S.Kumars Limited, an Indian company engaged in the textile business.
BSPE has also sold packaging specialist Radici Film to Taghleef Industries (controlled by Dubai-based Al Ghurair Group) in a deal valued at around EUR200m and generating a 2x money multiple. The multiple paid was in the range of 8x the 2007 EBITDA, a couple of ticks higher than the entry multiple of just above 6x. The transaction is still subject to approval by antitrust authorities.
