Iñigo Erlaíz to head new Gómez-Acebo & Pombo private equity practice
Madrid-based law firm GУГmez-Acebo & Pombo has signalled its intention to ramp up the firmтs penetration into the Iberian private equity space by appointing IУБigo ErlaУz as head of a new standalone private equity practice.
The new group will be integrated into the partnership's network of offices throughout Spain, Portugal and the UK. Approximately 15 legal professionals will provide a multidisciplinary offering, ecompassing M&A, tax/fiscal, fund structuring and regulatory advice.
Erlaíz, previously a partner in the group's commercial practice, has been with Gómez-Acebo & Pombo for more than 10 years, during which time he has accumulated significant experience in advising on private equity transactions. Most recently, he worked on the sale of the IT company R Cable to CVC and helped Grupo SOS on the sale of Bertolli Oil business from Unilever.
