
Suma appoints two
Barcelona-based Suma Capital has appointed Alex Fuentes and Begoña Mata to its cleantech team.
Fuentes, who has been appointed investment director, joins from Ferrovial where he focused on energy efficiency projects. Prior to that he worked with French group Dalkia (now Veolia Environment), where he developed alternative energy solutions in Spain and Mexico.
Mata, who has been appointed senior associate, joins from Grupo Hospitalario Quirón (formerly USP Hospitals), reporting to its private equity owners Doughty Hanson and Cinven. Mata began her career at KPMG as an auditor.
Suma Capital focuses on two investment strategies: supporting Spanish SMEs, and financing sustainability solutions.
