Diana Capital seeks €175m for second fund
Spanish lower mid-cap specialist Diana Capital has confirmed that fundraising has begun on a new €175m-target vehicle.
The new fund, which is already thought to have secured soft-circle commitments from a number of its existing limited partners, is targeting €175m - well over double the amount secured for its debut vehicle back in 2002. The first fund has completed 6 investments, all via proprietary deal generation, and two successful divestments.
Diana will continue to focus firmly on medium-sized, privately-owned Spanish businesses, primarily backing groups in the industrials and support services segments. Rather than setting its sights on larger deals, Diana will continue to look at the €10-25m ticket range, but will look to back a larger number of investees.
