Earlybird agrees Italian joint venture
Earlybird has reached an agreement with Azimut Holding to launch of a venture capital fund focused on Italy.
Azimut Holding is an independent asset management company in Italy and plans to launch the fund through its Luxembourg-platform.
The fund will focus on start-up companies based in Italy, operating in the technology sector. A fund advisory company will be assigned to the fund of which 60% will be owned by Earlybird's Italian partners and 40% by Azimut Holding. Earlybird is looking to support its future investments with specific competences and an international network of contacts.
