Panakès hires Castellano as principal

Prior to the role, Castellano held senior positions at London-based medical device manufacturer LivaNova and coronary stents and catheters producer Alvimedica. More recently, she worked as CEO at Italian advisory firm TechWald, focusing on investment in the medical device industry both in Europe and Israel.

Milan-based Panakès launched its maiden vehicle in the second half of February this year, with a €100m target. The fund focuses on the medical sector, targeting early-stage businesses and SMEs across Europe and Israel.
