Banca Leonardo acquires Rasfin Sim
Banca Leonardo, the investment bank headed by former Lazard senior banker Gerardo Braggiotti, has acquired capital markets and corporate advisory firm Rasfin Sim from Allianz to boost its activity in that segment in Italy.
The closing of the deal is subject to clearance by regulatory authorities, expected by the beginning of 2008. This is Banca Leonardo's fifth acquisition since its inception less than 18 months ago. Earlier this year, it acquired Drueker & Co, an independent German advisory firm, corporate finance boutique Toulouse & Associes, small bank VP Finance and independent asset manager DNCA Finance.
