Southern Italy welcomes new player H2i
Campania H2i, Holding Iniziativa Industriale has been set up with initial commitments of EUR10m. The fund will aim to provide financing to SMEs based in central Italy, as well as the southern regions of Naples and Campania. It will also invest in northern Italy, although to a lesser extent.
Campania H2i has already acquired a 21% stake in utilities player Elettra-Alea and a 17% stake in audiovisual business Dujass Film di Roma. As the investment activity intensifies in Southern Italy, H2i will face competition from firms such as Pentar, Investimenti & Sviluppo, Vertis and Promo Equity Sud.
