P101 hires Catzola as venture partner
Milanese venture capital firm P101 has appointed former MSC Crociere and Ferrero International executive Luca Catzola as venture partner.
Catzola's appointment follows P101's intention to bolster its marketing and business strategy expertise. The VC house targets investments in Italian digital startups, aiming to boost their international expansion.
Prior to the role, Catzola worked in the consumer goods, retail and travel business sectors at international companies, including Ferrero, Mattel, Carrefour Italia and MSC Crociere. His expertise includes general management, business strategy and consumer marketing and branding.
To date, P101 has €40m in assets under management and holds 18 companies in its portfolio. The fund signed a partnership agreement with German VC firm Join Capital in February this year and plans to start a new partnership with a UK-based VC investor later this year.
