
HIG buys bathroom furnishings producer Royo Group
HIG Europe has acquired an undisclosed stake in Royo Group, a Spanish bathroom furnishings and appliances producer.
The deal saw HIG Europe acquire an undisclosed stake in the family-owned business. At the time of publication, the GP was not available to comment on the transaction.
According to a statement, the company and the GP aim to boost the company's production in the appliances segment as well as to support its international expansion through additional strategic acquisitions across the European market.
As part of the deal, the company's CEO Raúl Royo and the management team will remain at the head of the business. The capital injection is understood to be part of a four-year development plan for Royo, which aims to increase turnover up to €120m by 2020.

Established in 1971 and headquartered in Valencia, Royo Group produces bathroom furnishings and appliances, including hydro massage baths, shower columns and trays. According to a statement, the company distributes in 60 countries and generates 80% of its revenues outside Spain. The group has 650 employees and produces across three factories in Spain, Poland and Mexico.
According to a statement, Royo generated €65m in revenues in 2015.
