
HIG buys medical supplies provider SLPA
HIG Europe has acquired Milan-based hospital support services company Santa Lucia Pharma Apps (SLPA).
No financial details of the transaction have been disclosed. The company recorded a turnover of €18m and pre-tax profit of €3.67m in 2016, according to publicly available documents.
SLPA plans to take advantage of HIG's support and expertise to accelerate its European expansion plan, according to a statement.
Company
Based in Piacenza and founded in 2015, SLPA provides medical supplies, devices and management software to Italian hospitals. It currently manages the delivery of medicine to 10,000 beds in 25 Italian hospitals. The company has designed software systems to improve efficiency and decrease the possibility for human error in the prescription, transcription, distribution and administration of medications. It employs 130 people.
