Kennet Partners sells Telemedicine Clinic to trade
Fund manager Kennet Partners has sold Spanish teleradiology and telepathology service Telemedicine Clinic (TMC) to clinical laboratory testing and medical diagnostic imaging service Unilabs.
The GP sold the business after a 10-year holding period. Financial details surrounding the transaction remain undisclosed.
The deal was the first investment for the GP's Guernsey-based third fund, Kennet III. The vehicle held its final closing in excess of €200m in July 2008.
Previous funding
Kennet led a €7m financing round in the business in September 2007. As part of the financing, existing backers Molins Capital Inversión and Invernova partially exited their stakes in the business.
Company
Founded in 2001, TMC provides radiology and pathology diagnostic reporting services. The company claims to work with 135 public hospitals and local health authorities across Europe.
The business is based in Barcelona and has a presence in the UK, Australia and the Nordic countries.
