Altamar closes secondaries fund on €541m
Spanish funds-of-funds manager Altamar Capital Partners has closed its latest secondaries fund, Altamar Global Secondaries IX.
The vehicle, launched in June 2016, has closed on €541m, exceeding its original €500m target, Unquote understands.
The fund is larger than its predecessor, Global Private Equity VIII, launched with a target of €400m and a hard-cap of €500m. The predecessor focused on buyout and growth capital vehicles, as well as opportunities in the secondaries market.
Investments
The fund, which is open to co-investments, will provide €150-175m in secondaries transactions globally, with a specific focus on buyout funds.
