
21 Investimenti acquires Carton Pack
Private equity house 21 Investimenti has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Italian packaging company Carton Pack.
The GP will take an 80% stake, with the remainder held by the Leone family who founded the company. Gianni Leone will stay on as CEO of the group.
21 Investimenti will focus on growth at home and in new markets abroad, as well as on targeted acquisitions.
This is the fifth investment for 21 Investimenti Fund III, which was approximately 65% drawn across four transactions in June 2018, according to Unquote Data.
Company
Carton Pack develops, manufactures and sells packaging products for the food industry, with a strong focus on fruit and vegetable packaging.
The group was founded in 1970 by the Leone family and has its production headquarters in Bari, Italy. Revenues totalled €80m for 2017, up from €75m in 2016. Roughly 30% of its revenues are generated abroad.
