Alantra buys Grupo Ingenium
Alantra Private Equity has acquired a majority holding in Spanish telecommunication specialist Grupo Ingenium Tecnologia.
Unquote understands that Alantra acquired a stake of around 60%, while the founders and managers Sergio Cano and José Losada, who will stay on with the business and continue to lead the company, retained a minority holding.
This is the sixth investment made by the GP via its Alantra PEF III fund, which held a final close on €450m in February 2017.
The fresh capital will be used to strengthen the company’s market position in Spain and internationally, especially in other European countries and Latin America.
