Talde buys Acoustic & Insulation Techniques
Talde Private Equity has acquired a majority stake in sound insulation specialist Acoustic & Insulation Techniques (AIT) from the company's founders, who retained a minority holding and will continue to lead the business.
The company intends to use the fresh capital to further expand internationally, specifically by opening a production plant in the US in September 2019, to penetrate the NAFTA region's market.
Talde is currently managing its evergreen vehicle Talde Promoción y Desarrollo and the growth capital fund Talde Capital Crecimiento, which held a final close on €102m in 2016.
Company
AIT manufactures sound proofing and acoustic insulation materials able to absorb noise caused by vibrations for the automotive, construction and industrial sectors. The company is headquartered in Barcelona and has two production plants in Spain and one in Poland, where the activity started in 2016 as the first step of its internationalisation process. AIT generates annual turnover of €30m, of which 70% comes from outside Spain.
